My Baby Boy at 10 months!

Baby Emmett is 2 months shy of his first birthday and I'm crying (because he is growing up so fast and because in 3 months, I'm back at work)! So here is the update:

- Weighs 20.8 lbs. and is about 30 inches long
- Wearing 9-12M and some 12-18M
- Size 4 Pampers
- Has lots of reddish-blond hair perhaps needs a trim
- Has 6 teeth! (2 more pop up in the past week too)
- Head bops to music - it is so funny. We now go to a music class which he loves too!
- Loves to eat and eats about everything (completely oppiosite of Jonas). Started feeding him cow's milk
- Tries to climb up everything! He even crawls up the little slide we have! And now he can climb down stairs!
- Still loves his thumb & when he starts sucking it, we know he needs a nap!
- Favourite toys: still loves his stuff animals, playing with cars, riding the Mater car & anything that his big brother has, he wants.
- Started getting mad at Jonas for taking his toys from him (and even tries to hold on for dear life to them when Jonas grabs them).
- Loves the playground and being outside!
- Really likes puppy dogs.
- First Easter was spent with the Lee's at the lake and at the Halwa farm.

Mr. Emmett's room...

So we moved into our new place last May - almost a year ago, wow how times flies. I've been wanting to paint, paint, paint like the whole darn house but that hasn't happened especially with 2 kids! I did manage to paint both of the boys' rooms and perhaps that turned me off painting any more of the house because it took forever! I guess it didn't help that I picked bright/dark colors for both rooms and I had to paint 3 coats! Anyway, I ended up buying a tree decal for Emmett's room too and I'm rather pleased with the end results and thought I would share!

Emmett @ 9 months

It's been awhile...but here is what my little munchkin is up to (@ 9 months & I'm a few days early too):

- Weighs about 20 lbs.
- Wearing 6-12M (but some 6-9M clothing are too small for him but I'm in denial & still try to squeeze him into them)
- Size 4 Pampers (just went up a size this week)
- Has lots of reddish-blond hair perhaps needs a trim
- Has 5 teeth! He is cutting his 6th tooth too!
-Can say 'mama' and 'dada'. He makes this screeching noise when he gets excited - its too funny!
- Can drink from a straw & sippy cup
- Likes to feed himself; favourite foods are: mum mums, noodles, cheese, bananas, milk
- Crawls everywhere & lifts himself up on whatever he can hold onto! Will take a step from the coffee table to the couch & will walk around the furniture while holding on to it. Sometimes likes to put things in his mouth & carries them as he crawls! Loves crawling up the stairs too!
- This month we moved him into the big carseat vs. the bucket seat (it was a sad day because I love the convenience of the bucket seat & the ability to move him easily especially when he is sleeping.
- Likes sleeping & napping in his crib but does end up in mom's & dad's bed at one point during the night (mainly because I fall asleep while nursing him).
- Still loves his thumb & when he starts sucking it, we know he needs a nap!
- Started reaching up for Cory and I when he wants to be held & whines until we pick him up.
- Loves his big brother & likes to be where ever Jonas is.
- Favourite toys: stuffed animals (especially his bear & Mickey Mouse), pop-up toy, trains, balls, his phone
- Is attracted to items that he is not supposed to have (of course but I think he is worse than Jonas was), items such as toilet paper, register covers, the garbage, door stoppers
- Likes to watch Mickey Mouse with Jonas (he gets giddy & kicks his legs when the show comes on)
- This month he got his first flu, followed by a cold plus cut his 5th tooth! Fortunately he was still quite happy but wanted to be held more & woke up during the night more!
- This month we were also lucky to have Cory home & the boys just love their dad!

I've been lacking motivation to write anything on this blog - I even missed the last couple months of Emmett's monthly updates (thankfully I write some things down in his baby book). I don't know where the time has gone...

Anyway, February is birthday month (Cory's, Jonas' & mine)! Jonas turned the big '3'! My friend Leanne (Rubber Tree Photography) took some wonderful photos of Jonas (and Emmett & the family). I wasn't sure how Jonas would do, but it took some 'threatening' to get him to smarten up and smile for the camera! Enjoy!

Wintertime Fun

I'm still lacking the desire to update this blog. So here a a few pictures of this past month of the boys having fun in the snow! (when it was actually nice outside)!
